High in the Alps.
The Kielebergalm has long operated far from conventional infrastructure. Until recently, its electricity depended on a single source: a diesel generator — reliable, yet loud and out of place within the surrounding landscape. For Hansesun, this project set out to document a different direction, one that brings energy production back into harmony with its environment.
The film accompanies the installation of Hansesun’s photovoltaic system, tracing the quiet flow of solar energy from the roof into storage and finally into the house. Rather than presenting the transformation as purely technical, the visual approach remains calm and observational, allowing the atmosphere of the alpine setting to shape the narrative. The shift is subtle but significant: from fossil-based power toward a cleaner, self-sufficient solution.
Production itself unfolded in a similarly relaxed rhythm. Surrounded by open mountain views and a focused, collaborative team, the shoot carried an ease that naturally informed the tone of the final piece. The result is a restrained portrait of place and transition — showing how sustainable energy can integrate seamlessly into even the most remote alpine environments.
